Here you can find lots of information and practical ideas to help reinforce the phonics learning the children have undertaken at school. Keep checking back to find new activities and ideas to try at home as well as website links to fun short games children can play on a device to help them become more confident in decoding new words.
Phoneme and tricky word wallets
Below you can find information to explain how the phoneme wallets your child will receive from school can be used to help practise what they have learnt at school.
Below you can find some useful website links for games you may like to play with your child to help practice the phonic skills they have learnt at school.
Here you will find all the phonemes we have learnt, the correct pronunciations and the actions we use to remember them. When the children become confident in recognising the letters and saying the phonemes they make we then move onto read short three letter words, pushing the letters together after were have said each sound to make the word.
