Uniform List

 

 

The school colours are red and grey. All children are expected to wear our uniform which is smart, functional and will add to the school identity.

Girls – winter
School sweatshirt
White polo shirt, with embroidered school crest
Grey skirt/pinafore or grey trousers & grey socks or grey tights

Girls – summer
Winter uniform can be worn OR
Red and white checked summer dress & white socks.

Boys – winter
School sweatshirt
White polo shirt, with embroidered school crest
Grey trousers & grey socks

Boys – summer
School sweatshirt (as above)
White polo shirt (as above)
Grey trousers or grey shorts (optional).

¨    Occasionally second hand uniform is available and on sale. Enquiries regarding this should be made to the Friends of St John's.

¨    Both boys and girls are expected to wear sensible footwear which enable children to run and play safely. Boots and other fashion footwear is not appropriate and must not be worn. Please note that trainers are not allowed, except for outside games.

¨     All items of school wear must be clearly marked with the child’s name.

 

P.E. Kit
All children will need a white P.E. t-shirt and navy shorts.
Plain black track suit bottoms may be worn in winter for outside games lessons. Plimsolls/trainers will be needed for outside P.E. 
 
General Appearance

It is expected that all children will arrive at school clean, tidy and well-groomed. Make-up and nail varnish must not be worn to school.

Hair

We ask that any child with hair below collar length  come to school with a band or other suitable means for tying back their hair when taking part in PE, including swimming and any other practical subject.

It is not acceptable for children to come to school with an extreme hairstyle, for example tram lines.          

Jewellery must not be worn to school. Stud earrings only, may be worn in pierced ears, must be removed by the child for P.E., games and swimming lessons. The school cannot take liability for any personal items lost or assist your child in removing the earrings.

 

Watches: Only children in KS2 are permitted to wear watches to school 

Mobile PhonesChildren are not permitted to bring mobile phones to school.
