School Clubs

 
Cookery  
  • Mrs Rabbatts runs this club after school. They meet to learn about food hygiene and cook pizzas, stir fries and delicious cakes. Year 4 is the target group.

Gymnastics
  • Gym club meets every Tuesday, after school for an hour. The children have been selected from KS2. They are working towards a competition in March, where they will compete against other schools in the area.

Gardening
 
  • The Gardening Club meets every Friday, before School with the caretaker and Mr Harrington.  This is open to Years 5 and 6.  According to the seasons, we sweep and collect leavers, plant and tend to crops, weed beds and generally help look after our grounds. 
     
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Dance
  • Dance club meets every Thursday, after school for an hour. The club is open to girls from Years 5 and 6. The girls will learn dance routines to a variety of styles of music and hopefully have a good time in the process.  Miss Griffiths will run this club.
Kingsquad
  • Kingsquad is run by "The Family Trust" and is aimed at KS2 children. They run Christian based activities and meet every Friday after school.

 

 Bell ringing
  •  Some Year 4 children  meet with Mrs Coomber every Friday at 12.30 to learn to make music from chime bars and hand bells.

 

Football
  • Mr Smith runs this club during lunch times and plays local schools after school. Last season we have won the Small schools` competition and even went on to beat the Large schools` winner (Allington CP). We are currently in a local league. In January, for example, we beat Shernolds School 12 - 0. We run a football club for girls too.
 
Netball
  • This club will start on 9th February. Mrs Barratt practises skills with the Year 6 girls and is working towards a Netball tournament at the end of Term 4.

 

Cross country running
  • This club is open for Years 4, 5 and 6 and takes place every Thursday lunchtime. From time to time we compete with other local schools in running competitions. This year, for example, Year 4 girls, as a team, won the gold medal as they came 1st over 3 races. Mrs Ruemel organises this club.
